Cat Power- Sea of Love

 

I recently re-watched Juno (of course), and it reminded me of how this song at the end always gets me, and makes me cry most of the time. It’s a beautiful song, and I love this version of it. I feel like Cat Power is just spooky enough to get the feeling across in a whole other way from the original. She makes it almost a sad farewell of a love song.

Yes, that’s right, this is a cover. The Original was done by Phil Philips in 1959. Here is a video for it. It’s very good. In that dreamy 50’s sort of way.
