Outfit: Skirt- Handmade; Shirt- Hanes; Jacket- Levis; Shoes- Converse

Trying something different.

I made this skirt a while ago, and apparently used the wrong kind of tulle for what I wanted. Don’t get me wrong, I love a good tutu.

P.S. It’s tornado weather here. I don’t even know what to do with that information. California girl much?

i really love the skirt ~ how did you make it? x

Oh thanks!
I just cut the lining the the length and width I needed, and then wrapped the tulle around to see how much I needed. It was all very hap-hazard. But I believe that it was about 50% more tulle than lining, per layer (I did two layers). I then gathered the lining (if you don't know how, there are some great videos on youtube to teach you) and fit it to the lining. After the to fabrics were fitted together, I added a elastic waist band. And that was it!

Tulle and converse are now my new favorite pairing! I can't believe you made this, I'm so nervous working with tulle. Great vibe from these photos and this look.
